What we need now - Sampoorna

1. For 2008-09 we are forced to extend support to at least 500 families in which either more than one person is disabled or the earning member is disabled with no mobility.

2. Since most of them need immediate medical diagnosis and treatment and home care it is estimated that Rs. 2500 per person is needed for scanning and other detection program.

3. Service of 3 doctors is needed to conduct home visit in all 7 panchayats to support bedridden persons in all ages on a regular basis.

4. Support of a mobile medical unit is required to cover listed homes on a regular time schedule.

5. Financical support for engaging home care volunteers to give personal assistance to the program. Support is needed for at least a team of 5 in each panchayat. (5x7=35)

6. First aid kits, medicine , bed, cloth, geriatric care equipments etc are the most needed among other items.

Since we have started the field activities, more and more people are approaching for help to meet their minimum medical needs.
